Rosacea Treatments

Rosacea is a very common skin condition that over 400 million people are affected by it. That’s more than the U.S. population alone, and yet, only about 20% of Americans reported receiving treatment for their case. Most citizens find Rosacea to be more of a small burden than something that requires a consultation unless the case is considered severe. At the Dermatology Associates of Mid Ohio, the goal of our physicians is to treat even the mildest case to help you live a life without skin irritation and redness.

What Causes Rosacea?

When thinking of Rosacea, your mind typically wonders to rosy red cheeks that resemble blushing and sunburn. Rosacea is a chronic condition that normally affects the center of the face on those with fair skin. It is commonly mistaken for other conditions like acne, contact dermatitis irritation, or aging. The factors that will play a role in how your Rosacea will develop include genetics, environment, and immune system response.
